Optum Homecare App Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Impilo, Inc. ("Impilo", "we," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you use the Optum Homecare mobile app, powered by Impilo

We collect the following personal information:- Name

- This information is collected via our healthcare provider partners who have an existing relationship with you.

We collect vital sign data from third-party connected devices that you have configured to work with the Optum Homecare app. This data is collected directly from the device manufacturers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely for app functionality. This includes:
- Providing you access to your health data
- Enabling communication with your healthcare providers
- Improving and maintaining the App
3. Sharing of Your Information
We share your information with healthcare providers who already have a relationship with you. These healthcare providers are customers of Impilo and use the data to provide their services to you. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Storage and Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures are designed to comply with HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC 2 Type 2 standards.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information for as long as it is needed to provide the App and support the care program you are enrolled in, and for as long as required by law or by our healthcare provider partners.
Impilo processes your health information on behalf of your healthcare provider, who is the custodian of your health record. We do not apply a deletion schedule of our own — retention is governed by our agreement with your provider and by applicable law, including HIPAA and state medical record retention requirements.
Readings and app data cached on your phone are removed when you uninstall the App.
Requesting deletion. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting your healthcare provider or Impilo at support@impilo.health. Once your request is verified, we erase the clinical information associated with your account and anonymize your account so that it can no longer be linked to you. A minimal account record and a record of the deletion itself are retained to meet legal and recordkeeping obligations.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information within the App
- Request updates of your personal information by contacting your healthcare provider or Impilo at support@impilo.health
- Request information about how your data is being used
- Request deletion of your personal information, as described in Section 5
If you are an EU resident, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to restrict processing.
7. Children's Privacy
Our App does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
